Editorial Policy

Injury Law Reporter is an independent legal information publication owned and operated by Legal Desire Media. This page explains how our content is produced, reviewed, and corrected.

Our Mission

We help injured people understand their legal rights, the claims process, and realistic settlement expectations, in plain English. We write for claimants, not law firms.

How We Create Content

Our articles are researched using primary sources wherever possible: state statutes, court records, government agency data (OSHA, BLS, NHTSA, state workers’ compensation boards), insurance industry reports, and published verdict and settlement databases. Where we cite settlement figures or averages, we aim to reference the underlying source and note when figures are estimates.

Editorial Independence

Our editorial content is not written or approved by law firms or advertisers. If a page contains sponsored content, attorney advertising, or affiliate links, it will be clearly labeled. Advertising never influences our editorial conclusions.

Not Legal Advice

Injury Law Reporter provides general legal information for educational purposes only. Nothing on this site is legal advice, and reading it does not create an attorney-client relationship. Laws vary significantly by state and change over time. Always consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction about your specific situation.

Corrections Policy

When we learn of a factual error, we correct it promptly and note significant corrections on the affected article. To report an error, contact us at our contact page. We review and update key articles periodically to reflect changes in law and settlement trends.

Ownership & Funding

Injury Law Reporter is published by Legal Desire Media. The site is funded through advertising, clearly-labeled sponsored placements, and referral partnerships. These never determine what we cover or what we conclude.
